1000 Forms of Fear by Sia

When I first heard Sia, it was her song “Chandelier” on the radio.  I initially thought the song was great.  A few months after that, I heard her song “Elastic Heart,” and I was blown away.  With an amazing voice like that, and complex lyrics like those, how could I not be?  Where did this woman come from, and how had I not heard of her before?!  My love for Sia’s voice only grew once I heard her sing “Chandelier” live on Saturday Night Live .  So when I saw her album in the store, I had to have it. Miss Shayne is starting off the series with her picks for 2015.  Read on to see what she picked for her 'best of' for the year! Books Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi: Miss Shayne says she loved the strong, female lead character who starts with nothing and works to get to a powerful position.  Miss Shayne also liked the journal that the lead character kept throughout this beautifully written book. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson Miss Shayne recommends this good ghost story that stars a girl who's relatable.  The girl has to make new friends to solve a murder mystery. Nothing Left To Lose by Mat Kearney

This is our first review for a music CD. I've never written a review for music before, and during the course of writing this one, I've come to the realization that writing reviews for literature is much easier for me that reviewing music. I am reviewing a CD called Nothing Left To Lose by the artist, Mat Kearney. This CD is not available in the county library system, but you might be able to request it through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system. You can also go to http://matkearney.com/ to listen to some of his songs, and if you do a search for him on http://youtube.com/ you can listen to his songs and view some of his music videos to sample his music.
